Spring favourites.

Over the past week apart from being ill I’ve made a quite a few clothing, homeware and beauty purchases. I thought I would run through some of the bits I’ve bought and the things that I’m really fond of!

Daisy eau so fresh by Marc Jacobs – I have Daisy and Decadence by Marc Jacobs and I love it! Eau so fresh is something I have had before and it is a really pleasant everyday perfume. It smells powdery and fruity and really reminds me of the outdoors and flowers you have in your home. It isn’t an overbearing smell and is a really light fragrance that lingers for a short while.

matalan cool bag.jpg

Pineapple print cool-bag – Jamie and I are really fond of the outdoors and really enjoy going for picnics especially on holiday. We thought that this cool-bag was a steal at only £6.00 from Matalan and would be perfect for this years vacation. Not to mention I love pineapples anyway but this print just stole my heart.

matalan spring cushion

Geo print cushion – Also from Matalan I bought two of these jacquard print cushions for our sofa. I like to make little changes and adjustments to our home without having to re-decorate everything, and as the seasons change I think it’s important to switch things up. We had mostly monotone coloured cushions apart from a few burgundy ones which were there to bring some colour to our grey sofa. I decided that as it’s spring now and summer is approaching I wanted to bring in more brightness. I’m really loving yellow at the moment especially mustard yellow it’s a colour that denotes happiness, positivity and it stimulates mental activity! They have loads of cushions so I do recommend you take a look.

candle glases and flowers

Palm print candle – Another item from Matalan, this candle smells AMAZING. It is Coconut and Pineapple scented and was only £4.00! It’s a neutral print and really compliments the many house plants we have. The candles in Matalan smell lovely and they come in all sorts of shapes, sizes and cute patterns.

Coconut hair serum – Inecto naturals are a british company who don’t test on animals and are vegan friendly. 90% of the ingredients are natural and the products don’t cost the earth. As someone who has really thick and curly hair I’m prone to frizz and fly away strands. This serum smells great and feels lightweight, however too much could make your hair slightly greasy so I recommend only using on the ends. I have used their coconut conditioner in the past which is also really good, but for the price this serum is fantastic at leaving your hair looking healthy and shiny and it is a perfect travel size!

Round tortoiseshell sunglasses – After trading one pair of sunglasses for a rug in Morocco,  I thought I would treat myself to another pair to take with me to Greece. I do have a few high end pairs of sunglasses but I like to have a pair that I can take on a hike or wear them in the pool and I don’t have to worry about them getting broken. I spotted these in H&M, they are really comfortable and at only £7.99 I thought they would be perfect for the summer.

ripped trackies

Ripped joggers – I ordered these from Missguided because I really wanted an extra pair of tracksuit bottoms and I thought that they looked quite cool. Surprisingly they are extremely comfy and they are easy to style. Perfect for lounging around I’m definitely going to be buying joggers from them in the future!

flowers

Flowers – Lastly I love to buy flowers to dress the home and I think it is really comforting. You don’t need someone else to buy you flowers and I think everyone should have a vase full of some beautiful blooms. For me it is the finishing touch for any room and you don’t have to spend a lot doing it.
